How I got here

Hello there. Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve always been a reader; I basically grew up at the library. I would read everything I got my hands on – it didn’t really matter what genre. Still, I always gravitated to the fantasy section, especially the old pulp paperbacks packed with myth, magic and lost kings.

I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State). In a previous life I was a classically trained vocalist, and I use the same part of my brain when I edit. I've always had a knack for finding the peak of a musical phrase; I use the same approach with prose.

I edited my friends' papers in college and did similar work in the administrative field. I went to work for Proofed.com in 2021 after taking their online classes and have been doing freelance work ever since.
